OUR PASTOR
Pastor Joseph B. Davis, Sr.
was born and educated in Washington, D.C., and lovingly raised by his
grandparents, the late Isaac Davis and Beulah Mae Davis. He and his wife, Co‑Pastor Debra Ann, have been joyfully married for 46 years. They are the
proud parents of three children, one daughter‑in‑love, and nine beautiful
grandchildren. Pastor Davis accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1980 and was sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost in 1984. He acknowledged his call to the ministry in 1986, was licensed to preach in 1990, and was ordained an Elder in 1993 in the Greater Maryland First Jurisdiction, Church of God in Christ, Inc., by the late Bishop David Washington Spann, Sr., in Baltimore, Maryland. For 32 years, Pastor Davis has faithfully served as the Founder and Senior Pastor of Way of Truth and Life Ministries Church of God in Christ, where he continues to shepherd God’s people with wisdom, compassion, and unwavering commitment. In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Pastor Davis has served the Church of God in Christ in numerous capacities at both the District and Jurisdictional levels. He currently serves in the Maryland Eastern Shore Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under the leadership of Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop Paul R. Harmon. Pastor Davis has pursued theological studies at The Charles Harrison Mason Bible College and School of Theology, Baltimore Division. He has also completed extensive leadership development training through various conferences, including the Pastors and Elders Conferences. His academic achievements include an Associate Degree in Ministry, a Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry, a Master of Divinity Degree, and a Doctor of DivinityDegree from the Revival Center Bible College and Seminary in Waldorf, Maryland. Pastor Davis’ mission is to teach, train, develop, and empower people to live, love, serve, and give better. He has served tirelessly to reach the lost, strengthen the saved, and model a life that is pleasing to God.

OUR FIRST LADY Evangelist Debra Ann Davis was born in Trenton, New Jersey, and educated in Washington, D.C., where she graduated from Frank W. Ballou Senior High School. She continued her biblical studies at the Charles Harrison Mason System of Bible Colleges, Baltimore Division. At the age of 20, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, beginning a lifelong journey of faith, service, and spiritual devotion. She is the joyful wife of 46 years to her best friend, Elder Joseph B. Davis, Sr., Senior Pastor of Way of Truth and Life Ministries Church of God in Christ. Together, they are the proud parents of three children, one daughter in love, and nine cherished grandchildren.

She currently serves in the Maryland Eastern Shore Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under the leadership of Jurisdictional Prelate Bishop Paul R. Harmon and Jurisdictional Supervisor Dr. Lee Van Zandt. She is also a member of Kingdom Leaders Fellowship, Sisters 2 Sisters Women's Fellowship, and New Broken Vessels Ministry.

Professionally, she served with distinction as Executive Assistant to the President of the Publications Division at the American Chemical Society (ACS) in Washington, D.C. After 46 years of dedicated service, she retired in April 2026. During her tenure, she also served on the ACS Federal Credit Union Board of Directors, the Loan Review Committee, and as Chair of the New Services Committee. First Lady & Servant Leader Evangelist Davis counts it an honor to serve as First Lady of Way of Truth and Life Ministries Church of God in Christ, working faithfully alongside her husband to minister to the people of the Lord.
Her favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5–6: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
